This 74-acre site consists of a 317,000 SQ FT distribution center, guard shack and fire pump house. Seventy-two 35’ tall light poles resting on massive 15’ x 2’ concrete caissons provide nighttime illumination throughout the site. A medium voltage 15kV substation and concrete encased duct bank was installed to bring power to the (2) Square-D 5,000-amp services for a total of 10,000 amps. Each switchboard also is equipped with tap boxes for full back up via emergency generator if ever needed. A power systems coordination study was performed to ensure proper personnel and equipment protection is in place. Forty-one branch circuit panels distribute power throughout the facility as needed. A fully automated 400-amp heat trace system protects the gutters throughout the facility. The 120 dock doors were equipped dock lock control system, lights, and fans. Holophane LED high bay fixtures were installed and wired in place with an Acuity Re-Loc system. The Holophane high bays were also equipped with Acuity’s XPoint wireless control system. A full notification Edwards/EST fire alarm system was also installed throughout the facility. Over one-quarter of a mile of telecom duct bank was installed to bring the needed voice and data cabling to the building.
